- Acne

- Port-wine stains
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Dull skin
- Unwanted hair

- Saggy skin
The team also offers treatments that target excessive underarm sweat and precancerous skin growths.
What are the different cosmetic services?
Hill Country Dermatology offers several different cosmetic services, including:
MiraDry®
MiraDry eliminates odor-producing sweat glands in the underarms. This non-invasive treatment uses a suction technique to bring sweat glands to the surface. Then, it releases thermal energy, which destroys the sweat glands without harming the surrounding tissue. Many individuals only need one miraDry treatment to achieve the results they want.
Botox®
Botox is a neuromodulator that minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment targets the muscles underneath your expression lines. By paralyzing the muscle and preventing it from contracting, your skin can’t wrinkle. Botox works best on dynamic wrinkles, which develop from repeated muscle movement. The treatment lasts for about 3-6 months.
Dermal fillers
Volume loss is a common sign of aging skin. As you age, your body produces less collagen, a protein that makes up your connective tissues. Without collagen, your skin starts to sag and wrinkle. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that replace lost volume. Once injected, they mimic substances your body already produces, like hyaluronic acid.
Most fillers last about 6-12 months before the results gradually start to fade. However, some can last for 18 months to five years.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
PRP therapy uses growth factors within your own blood to stimulate collagen production, resulting in more youthful skin. First, the team draws your blood and runs it through a centrifuge. This step isolates the PRP for the highest concentration of growth factors. Next, the team injects the PRP back into your areas of concern. This treatment is also effective at treating hair loss.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a device that creates tiny punctures in your skin. These micro-wounds trigger your body’s healing response, which releases new collagen to repair the damage. The team can combine microneedling with PRP to enhance your results.
Chemical peels
Chemical peels aim to remove the outer layers of your skin, which incur damage from lifestyle and environmental factors. These minimally invasive treatments can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and other common skin concerns by revealing the untouched skin underneath.
